Display text vertically using the Vertical Property does not work

This is a follow-up to the question asked on having text (labels & textboxes)
display and print vertically on a form or report.

In my situation outlined...
I see the text on reports & forms horizontally
I change the vertical property from no to yes
The label and/or textbox flips to a vertical positioning. However the text within the box does not display. You can cursor over it and highlight it, seeing that the space for the text is taken. So on view and print, the text with the vertical properity set to yes does not display

Note: I did play with the font type and color to see if it was not
compatible with the vertical properity. Nothing is working for me. Any
assistance would be appreciated.
I am hoping another setting is off or something simple like that.

There's a Windows bug that prevents many fonts working vertically in some
versions of Access.

Try setting the font to:
Arial CYR
It's one of the few that seems to work.
