Display Stretches My Wallpaper Photos

I'd like to use some of my photos as wallpaper and when I
select that photo it appears to be "stretched". If I
click on tile or center I only get an enlarged section of
the picture. Any advice?

Take a copy of the picture, resize it with a photo editing program (make it larger). Save it where you keep your wallpaper pictures and try that
