I have a KDS Rad5 LCD MONITOR. When I attempt to use the
energy saving option to close down the monitor in the
minimal power mangement selection, it doesn't work. I
set it to shut down in 15 minutes, click apply and OK and
the monitor constantly stays on. I even restart after
making the selection and the same thing happens. The
montior won't go into saving mode. any suggestions?

Did the monitor come with any drivers? If it did, if you haven't installed
them try doing so. It's possible the native drivers in XP don't support the
function for your monitor.
