This just started on my three year old comp. Running WinXP Pro. When I start
up the comp it looks as if it's in the safe mode but it's not. The screen
Resolution is 600 x 400 and the Color Quality is Lowest 4 bit. There are no
options to change these.
After trying a few things, I did a simple sys. restore frome the day before
and everything is back to normal. 1280 X 1024 and Color is highest 32 bit.
Can anyone suggest a fix. It just started this a few days ago and it doesn't
happen every time.
Thanks,
Shortfuse

Maybe try reinstalling the video card driver.

Try installing the most recent version of your display adapter driver.
