Hello,
I have an issue with display resoulution on Dell Latitude D800 with GForce 4
GO in WinXP. Standard resolution is 1920x1200, notebook is registered in
domain, domain controller is SBS2000 SP4, all user profiles are storel
locally.
In case that user have to change his password, WinXP changes display
resolution to 640x480 (it doesn» matter whether user changes his password or
not). After changing resolution to 1920x1200 and restarting computer WinXP
again changes resolution to 640x480. The solution is to reinstall graphics
drivers. But when server forces user to change password WinXP changes
resolution again.
I tried to delete locally stored user profile but it didn't help.
It's interresting that this problem raised after one presentation, when
there was a data projector connected to this notebook. I believe that
reinstalling WinXP could solve this issue but I hope that you will be able
to provide some other solution.
Thanks,
Jan Pavel
