Display Refresh

When I return to the System (Windows XP Pro)after it goes
into Energy Saving Mode (Monitor and HardDisk turned off),
the display is "darkish". I then refresh the Colour
Qaulity to either 32bit or 24bit, depending on where I
left it last. This is rather tedious and I don't want to
leave the PC Power Scheme to "never".

My Video Card is ATI Rage Pro 3D

Any "bright" ideas?
 
It sounds like your video card is not recovering from power-down mode
properly. You may need an updated video driver. Contact ATI (www.ati.com) or
your computer manufacturer for additional assistance.
 
Tks Delwin: I will try the ATI site,though I doubt
a Driver Update: the Rage Pro is quite "old" now.
