display problems

I've been having problems with my display; it shows large icons and windows,a
lthough my settings are already configured at the smallest. I've checked my
monitor display, but that does't seem to be the problem. can anyone help me?
I am getting irritated with these large displays!! X(

Change the resolution.... Right click on the Desktop, select
Properties...... then click on the Settings Tab. The higher the
resoloution, the smaller the icons etc.
