display problem orangey-red

My presario 2100 is showing everything in an organgey red.

I took the screen from one laptop to another yesterday to check one that I
was rebuilding.

I've tried both on an ordinary monitor and display is ok there.I checked the
connection on the screen

and even changed the inverter to no avail.Any ideas please?

Last time I got into this one, a flat cable to the display from the MBD was
bad, with one wire broken or not making a connection at a mbd
plug/connector.
I suppose a problem on the MBD is the likely suspect.

No the issue has to be with the screen as I also tried it on another laptop

And is the flat cable going to the display module part of the display assy,
or the MBD?
If you flex the display assy lightly, does it make any difference?
