Display on Screen flips upside down

I hope someone can tell me why the display on my screen
flips upside down when I accidentally hit <control><alt>
and the down arrow? I tried it on another PC and it
didn't flip, but when I hit the same combination with an
up arrow on my screen, it flips back to normal...I'd like
to know why it works on my PC but not on others? Is there
a setting I need to change?
 
This is most probably a built-in feature of your video card and its
driver. Nothing bad or mysterious...and the other machines simply have
different video hardware. The vidcard manual will explain its features.
