I have a user that claims that whenever she types a
negative number it always displays it in brackets ( using
Excel 97). I had to recently re-create her profile and
not it is apparently lost. Is this possible ? I have
tested this myself but I have to set it each time for a
new workbook I open. How can this be saved to the users
profile if possible. I notice Excel 2000 does not have
this format and it you need it you have to use a custom
format. I would appreciate any help on this

Thanks and Best Regards

Try formatting cell, select number tab and select "Accounting." ;

Look if her regional settings (start>settings>control panel) are using this
format,
or if she has applied a style (format>style)
