[I can find this topic when I search this group, but the document is
outdated, so it doesn't display.]

So, once again, please explain slowly in small words so I can
understand :-)

Microsoft Outlook 2000
Create new mail message
TO:

I want the email address, not the display name to show

Is that possible? What magic buttons do I push to make it so?

Thank you!

Dear netter,

if you click on the "To" Button you will get the "Outlook Addressbook",
which is a "Link" to the contacts of your Contact folder.

If you would open a contact and you "doubleclick" on the "email address" of
the contact, you will see 2 fields:

"Display Name" and "E-Mail-address".

In you "Outlook Addressbocj" you will get only the "display name" and not
the "email address.

If you want to have only the "E-Mail-Address, you must copy the
"E-Mail-Address" in all of your contacts from the field "E-Mail-Address"
also into the field "Display Name".
