display duration

I know I can set the default duration of a picture, but it seems to only
work for pictures I drag and drop to the story board AFTER I change the
setting. It doesn't seem to affect the pictures already in line. Since I
have a large number of photos already dropped onto the storyboard, is there
any way to change their display duration other than one at a time??

You are correct...the setting only applies
to clips added to the timeline *after* you
change the setting.

You can change the duration for each clip
manually. Move your pointer around on the
edge of a clip until you see a double red
arrow. Now drag the double red arrow...
you'll see a tooltip that shows the duration
changing.

Or...just redo the project now that you have
changed the duration.

Thanks, John. I knew I could change the duration manually, but with the
number of pictures I've already added to the project, I was hoping there
was some global option. And I think you're right about just restarting the
project with the new duration setting. It's got to be faster to drag and
drop than to manually change every picture. <grin>

There's a global option for PhotoStory 3
but not for Movie Maker.
