Changing Picture Durations

I have a movie with 400 still images sequenced at 3 seconds. I want to easily change this duration to 5 seconds. I am aware that after I change the option this would take effect for any new clips dragged to the timeline or storyboard. My collection of 400 pictures is not being shown in any order I can easily sort my collection by. This is key point.

I want to copy all of the images (in sequence) off of the timeline, paste them into a new collections folder (MM doesn't allow this), then change the default picture duration and then re-paste the saved collection back to the timeline allowing the new setting to take effect. I can't find anywhere in MM where I can copy the entire timeline, except the storyboard. This unfortunately does not result in changing the picture duration. Can anyone tell me how to change my picture duration easily without creating a new project and dragging all 400 images back down to the timeline and re-doing all of my transitions. Thanks. [It seems like MM should have some easier way to change picture duration on an existing time line]

Consider saving the movie as a high-quality DV-AVI or WMV format.... then
importing it as a single clip and applying a slow-down effect to it.

See the Editing > Video > Reverse Effect page of my site for a custom effect
you could start with.... just need to figure the percentage change...

One problem (maybe ??) with this method would be a change in the duration of
the transitions also.... and you not being able to edit the file further.

Thinking a bit more, if you save it as a high quality WMV file, the auto
clip detection process would work on it and break them up into individual
clips... so maybe you could then do some editing later.

Just trying to brainstorm it a bit.

.
Magnify your time line to max...click on the pix you want
to change...move curser to right of pix...curser changers
to right and left arrows....hold down left button...move
curser left (shorter)or right (longer)....duration time is
shown. If you click on the left side of pix and drag left
it will over lap to fade one pix to another
