display drivers

I just had one of those days, and hit ctrl alt down, but it didn't flip my
screen. Instead, i get this error "The currently selected graphics display
driver can not be used. It was written for a previous version fo Windows,
and is no longer compatable with this version of Windows. The system has
been started using the default VGA driver. Please contact your hardware
manufacturer to get an updated driver, or select one of the Microsoft
provided drivers." The issue is that everything is regestering as being in
good order, but clearly is not. I have a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express
Chipset. Everything looks normal, but my screensaver and certain
applications do not work. HELP!

Go to the computer manufacturer website and look in the 'drivers and
support' section..

I gave it a try, and it installed, but i still have the same problem. All
the files are there, they are just not functioning. Everything is up to date
as far as I know. should I try uninstalling the current driver and
reinstalling it, or will that be more trouble than it's worth? I know from
first hand experience that graphics cards are a real pain.

Generally, if a driver doesn't work, it isn't the correct driver. Try the
uninstall and see what happens..

I got it to work. I disabled the driver from the device manager, then
enabled it again, and it works fine. thanks for the help anyways.
