display date

in my pre-2003 vrsion of word, the date was dispalyed permanently on the
desktop taskbar alongside the time
now, i cannot re-introduce that
yes, date appears [slowly] by hovering mouse over time,
yes, i already have rainlendar 2 - great, but if you keep it permanently on
top, it gets in the way
i just want the date permanently in my dektop taskbar

Word never showed the date in any version. You mean Windows and for that you
are in the wrong forum.
