Display cells in front of object

When I insert an object (picture) I want to be able to show the cell contents
in front of the picture. I tried sending object to the back but that did not
work. Any suggestions?

Try inserting as a background. You do not give a version but for those up to
2007 Format>Sheet>Background...

Check to see if your picture has a transparency setting. Many pictures (
such as autoshapes) can be made partially or fully transparent, revealing the
data in the underlying cells.

I want to be able to print it as a background on a form. Doing it as a
background on the sheet encompasses the entire sheet and not the print area I
want to print.

Use the Camera tool to copy the sells you want to appear in front of the
object. You'll actually have to replicate the region somewhere else, and
show this image in the Camera tool object, because otherwise the obscuring
object will appear in the Camera image.
