Hi, my colleague's pc has these problems:

1. she is using A4tech's ps2 mouse, sometimes, the mouse will go haywire and
start clicking programs by itself even though all the user did was to move
it.

2. there is a problem with the display - the menus of programs have become
'invisible'. e.g.: when right-click on desktop, you can't see the property
menu of desktop unless you move the mouse on each line of the menu.

Please help,

Elsie

Hi, Elsie. Tell your friend to update her video card drivers from the
card mftr.'s website (not from Windows Update) and see if that solves
the problem.

These are quite common errors that occurr when the system
crashes. If it is crashing a lot, there may be a conflict
(hardware / software) of some sort - look in device
manager. Reinstalling will likely sort it out.

The pc is not crashing a lot. Its a P2 433, 325 RAM, Win XP Pro. I installed
the video card driver previously. The video card is from S3 Trio, its a
pretty old model. I will try to install the driver for the mouse, to see if
it will solve the mouse problem. Mouse is A4 Tech, OK-720.

ps: I do not see any conflict signs in the device manager.
