Hi,

I have a merged cell which contains over 1000 characters of text. If I
click on the cell, I see all the text in the "fx" box at the bottom of the
toolbar.

However, I do not see all of the text in that cell if I click onto another
cell.

Any ideas if there is a limit of text Excel will display, either in 1 cell,
or in a set of merged cells?

Thanks,

Try wrapping the text. In XL 2003:

Format, Cells, Alignment and check the Text control 'Wrap'

Thanks. That did insert line breaks, but did not affect the formatting issue.

Thanks for the response.

It does insert line feeds, but does not affect the desired change.
