I downloaded the free version of dklite to try it out and it replaced my
Windows defrag utility. There was no warning. I know that dklite is made by
the same firm that makes windows defrag, but they shouldn't just cancel out
the old one. Enough whining and on to my question.

Can anyone out there tell me if the $30 upgrade is worth it, and it you
think the lite version is better than the win defrag that comes with XP
Home.

Executive Software makes a good product in Disk Keeper. They now have
version 8.
I have used the full version for a few years now. It works very well. I
especially like the set it and forget it mode. It learns from your disk use
and automatically defrags at appropriate intervals. It defrags more and
defrags the pagefile plus many other features.

I have used the dklite on different computers. It does the same good defrag
but no set-it-and-forget it mode, or any of the other boot time specials
etc.

On the Exec Soft web sight I do not find the dklite anymore, where did you
get it?
