Disk space Low

I keep getting this low disk space message.
The C: drive is 34.Gig and is almost full. So I installed another hard drive
F: which is 298Gig. I transfered over a number of data files, Pictures,
documents videos ect and solved the problem temporarily. All my program
files are still on C:/ . I run disk clean up when I get the low disk space
message which solves it, but the problem keeps coming back. There's 285gig
available on F:/, There's probably a simple answer... right?

Check the size of the browser caches, and set them lower. Then, change the
cache location and the TEMP variables, to your larger drive.

Past that, you'll need to watch what files are being written.

If you have the XP CD installation Disk then you can install the operating
system on the HDD with Big size then you can use the F.A.S.T to transfer your
data then you can Format the C:\ which will be taken out and formatted and
F:\ will be C:\?.
If you don't have an installation Disk then you can Clone this C:\ to the
F:\ the Cloning software will Clone every thing from HDD/Drive C:\ to F:\ all
including every thing (you can clear the junk before the cloning take place).

you can also move MyDocuments
from C to F.

There is a saying that "What you cannot measure, you cannot
manage". If you want to manage your disk successfully then
you must measure what's stored where. The tools below will
help you:

Once you know what's eating up your disk space, you can
take appropriate measures.

The cloning idea sounds simple enough. Will it effect (i.e. erase) what is
already on F:\ ? What cloning software do you recommend?

You could just redirect the "My Documents" folder to F:\somefolder

You could also reduce the size of System Restore and the amount of space
reserved for Internet Explorer cache, go through and see what program you
don't use and uninstall them. you could also put your pagefile on F:
If you have games installed on C:\ try moving them to F:\, as they usually
take up plenty of space.

destinaton.

The general answer is: Click Start / Help / Search tab,
then look for help on "Paging file". You will find full
details in there!
