Disk size not recognized after XP upgrade

Please point me to the right newgroup if I'm in the wrong place...and accept
my apology. Here's the issue. I recently upgraded from Win2K Pro to Win XP
Pro. When I open Windows Explorer it correctly recognizes the primary
(system) partition @ 20GB, but I have a 40GB secondary (storage) partition
that XP sees @ 1MB. I wouldn't have an issue if I could write to it, but I
can't. BTW, when I look at the disk in Disk Management, everything looks
good, including 70% free space on the secondary partition. Any ideas about
why XP fails to recognize all the capacity of the secondary partition? Thanks
in advance for sharing your expertise and helping.
