I get the error message "can't find SDNTC.EXE" when trying to evoke the Disk
Fragmenter under the Performance and Maintenance folder in the Control Panel.
Where do I get this program?

SDNTC.EXE is Norton Speed Disk, part of Norton System Works.

To restore Windows XP's defrag, do the following.

Start | Run | Type: regsvr32 dfrgui.dll | Click OK

You should get a RegSvr32 message: DllRegisterServer in dfrgui.dll
succeeded. Click OK.

Start | Run | Type: regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll | Click OK

You should get a RegSvr32 message: DllRegisterServer in dfrgsnap.dll
succeeded. Click OK.

Then navigate to C:\Windows\Inf ...
Start | Run | Type: %windir%\inf | Click OK |
Locate dfrg.inf, right click on dfrg.inf and click on Install
