Disk error with new HD? ASUS P4P800

Hi,

We just built a PC with ASUS P4P800 Deluxe, P4 2.8C, HD Seagate 80 GB IDE
(Port 0) and Maxstor 120GB S-Ata (Port 0). We have 1 DVD reader and 1
CD-Writter (Both IDE, on same Port 1)

We installed successfully Windows XP Pro but when we start to boot, we have

"Disk error. Press CTRL-ALT-DEL...(something, I don't remember)"

So, we can boot on the DVD and use WinXP normaly (well , it seems).

All parts of the PC are new. Boot sequence are:
- Seagate first,
- DVD
- and we tried, nothing and Maxstor: both config gave the same result.

Any idea?
Thanks,
T.

REPLY:
Page 4-12 of the P4P800 Deluxe user manual says that you can not boot to
the P-ATA drive if an S-ATA drive is connected.
