Disk Defragmentor Vs Disk Keeper Ver. 8

I recently bought a new sys with win XP and down loaded
the Disk Keeper ver.8 from Internet reliable site
thinking that it will bw an upadation of my disk
defragmentor.
Now i am experiencing difficulties in activating the Disk
Defragementor which originally came along with the
Windows XP as the disk keeper trial period is over and
the application does not allow me to defragmentation.
Even if I switch on to the original version the disk
keeper is sitting there and demanding me to "BUY NOW".
Can you assist me to get rid of this and restore the
original version of the disk defragmentor.
