disk defragmenter

My disk defragmenter quit functioning properly. It now
acesses the web and It says action cancelled. I am at my
wits end as noone can tell me what is happening. MS say
to contact HP...HP does not reply...

Did you try it in safe mode?
Do disk clean up first before defrag,also make sure
screen savor is off...Good luck.

Usually defrag stops responding during file compression,for that go t
search at microsoft,type:812248 For the fix
You can also try in cmdEFRAG C: /
