Disk Defragmenter

Im running Windows Me Millennium,everytime i try to run
the DISK DERFAGMENTER it will start to defragment c-drive
to about 10% then it starts again.I ran it for almost 8
hours and i kept starting over.

Not the correct newsgroup. However you have something updating the HD. Virus
scan or open applications?

To run disk defrag on old Windows 98 and ME stations it
always works when you reboot tha system and hit the F8
key. This will allow you to go into safe mode and run a
defrag or scan disk much qiucker and it will always make
it through without restarting.
