Disk Defrag Problem

D

Debbie

Hi:

When this computer was set up by the rep from whom it was
purchased, he didn't parition the drive to leave enough
space for the Disk Defragmenter to work. Any idea how I
can force a defrag or change the size of the volume I wish
to defrag to accomodate?

I have cleaned up everything off the C drive that I
possibly can to try and clear up enough space to no
avail. All that is left on it now is what is needed to
operate Windows.

Thanks for your help and input.

To move programmes you need to uninstall and reinstall through Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add / Remove Programs. To move Temporary Internet Files -Start, Control Panel, General tab, Temporary Internet Files, Settings, Move Folder. To relocate Outlook Express store select Tools, Options, Maintenance, Store Folder, Change.

If your My Documents folder is in your C partition then create a My Files folder in your D partition and copy ( not move ) the contents of My Documents to your new folder. Then delete the files in your My Documents folder ( if you encounter problems deleting use Shift + Delete to bypass the Recycle Bin ).
