My computer has Win XP Pro loaded as the only OS, lately
it has been freezing, mainly in email (Outlook 2000), and
when I restart it I receive the message that one of the
disks need to be check for consistency, (there is only 1
HDD), the disk is checked automatically and the computer
runs great for a while and then the same thing over again.
The only software that has been added in the last 8
months is Norton AV 2003, but that has been on here since
July 2003 and this problem only started about 3 weeks ago.
Could this be virus related, NAV picks up nothing and
neither does PC Cillin housecall, or is the HDD dying?
Cheers
