Removing that "feature" is one of the first things I do when I set up a new
PC. It slows down disk cleanup, and I don't like file compression - slows
down the PC. Hard drives are cheap - if I'm running that low on space I'd
get another one (either as a replacement or as a secondary drive). And, if I
really truly wanted to compress files or a data folder, I'd do it manually.
