Disk Cleanup

When doing a disk cleanup The compress old files stays at 311k and the web
client/publisher temp files stay at 32kb. Why do these not clean up,
everything else does.

The web one is explained on the web many times over.
Also - I wouldn't worry over 343kb.. *grin*

If you want to get rid of it, but this means not being able to use WebClient
Publisher, you can disable it and then delete the file. You can go to Start>
Run> type in services.msc > double-click on WebClient service and change the
Startup Type to Disable.
