Disk Cleanup

I misinterpreted the "Compress old files" option when
running the Disk Cleanup Utility and ended up compressing
a huge number of files on my PC. Does anyone know of an
easy way of decompressing these files? (I don't want to
decompress them manually by selecting a group of files,
choosing Properties and unchecking the Compress checkbox
because this is far too time consuming). Thanks.

When you click on said files they will open back up,XP
has it's own built in uncompress/compress program.What
you did was aquired some more disk space compressing old
files.The next time,just uncheck that option as some
people had trouble with disk cleanup freezing on
them...Good luck.
