Disk cleanup will not run. When I start it a dialog box
shows up that says to select drive, which I do. A new box
appears that says "Disk Cleanup" it says it is calculating
how much space will be free. Problem is it doesn't do
anything. It shows 4 bars in the calculating window and
thats it. Never goes beyond that. It had worked in the
past. I did recently use the Add/Remove program recently,
and wonder if this may be the problem.

Phil,

You more than likely have a corrupted compressed file which is causing the
Disk Cleanup utility to hang.

To workaround this issue, delete the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{B50F5260-0C21-11D2-AB56-00A0C9082
678}

Deleting this key will eliminate the scanning for compressed files.
