Disk cleanup hangs

Disk cleanup hangs when ruuning this utility. I can
cancel the utility but it never finishes the job even
after letting it run all night. I can't recall what event
made this utility stop working. Recently, for other
reasons, I performed a total hard disk wipe and
reinstalled everything but disk cleanup still hangs.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
 
Try clearing out your temp files manually and then defrag the drive.

If still no joy, search Google for "Windows 2000 disk cleanup hangs" w/o the
quotes.
