DISK CLEANUP DOES NOT WORK?

When i try to use disk cleanup it seems like it is going
to work but it just does not complete the task, I have
left it over night and it still did not finish the task

can any one help?

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
