disk clean up

3-4 times per week I do a disk clean up and
defragmentation. The latter takes approx 6 minutes and
the former 2-3. Three weeks ago the disk clean up
function quit. If you click the icon let's say 20 times,
nineteen of them will accomplish nothing. The 20th time
you get to 'start' the disk clean up process but it never
starts. This is true even if you wait for hours. Any
thoughts?
