Disk check keeps running at boot up and finds no problems.

Recently XP has been running a disk check on every boot and
finding no problems. Today, after the system finished
starting up I ran "fsutil dirty query c:" and the result was
"volume c: is NOT dirty". However, rebooting results in
disk check running again, saying that the volume is dirty.
The system appears to shutdown without problems. Any help
would be appreciated.

Well, the problem finally went away, but its' cause (and
it's solution) remains a mystery. I checked the Event
Viewer and didn't find anything there. "Automatic updates"
did have a security update waiting to complete which I ran
today, but the problem existed before the updates were
downloaded. Guess I'll never know. <g>

<shrug> If it wasn't a common problem, the solution wouldn't be at Kelly's
site.

Keep having fun. :-)
