Disk Boot Failure

Booted system and received disk boot failure.

Running Windows xp pro sp3 and server 2003

Went to recovery console after incident..
Read C:\ Windows Server
D:\Windows pro

When operating properly read
c:\ Windows Pro
d:\ Windows server

how to correct?

What caused?

I don't really know what you mean with "Read C:\ Windows Server" but a good
starting point is to download and run the disk diagnostic tool that your
disk manufacturer has on his web site.

Read means what appeared in the monitor when booted up. Seems like somehow the boot ini file may have changed?
