Dear all, why does it take so long for the posted article
on my discussion web to appear. I refresh and refresh and
enter again, and the next morning all the messages are
there?? thanks, Mon

Depends on your ISP news server if not using the msnews server
(and if not using the web based newsreader)

Stefan: He was referring to his discussion web, not the MS newsgroups.

Do you use AOL??
They cache web pages and it takes time for them to "catch up"

Ask your host if they "cache" web pages. The posts should show almost instantly.

Also when you refresh the page, try holding the Shift key and then clicking Refresh or F5.

Steve, they are coming through Ok now. She didn,t admit to the change, but
she is now using Outlook Express.

Thanks, Steve. Tried all of that. I'm beginning to think it's a firewall
issue.

The post didn't show all day yesterday, but when I went home, I was able to
see the post, and post additional messages that showed almost instantly. Back
at work again today, and I see all the posts from last night, but the post I
made this morning at work doesn't show. I'm guessing it will be there when I
go home tonight.

Or, as you said, it could be a caching issue, but one related to my
workplace, and not to the ISP.

Thanks again.
