Discrepencies betw QFECHECK & 'windowsupdate'

MS XP PROfessional SP1, recently upgraded from XP HOME:

Anyone else seeing discrepencies between the output of
QFECHECK, and the data in 'history'
at 'windowsupdate.microsoft.com' ????

at 'windowsupdate.microsoft.com' ????
qfecheck uses the registry keys to review the list of fixes,
including file names and versions. It then compares this to
the files in your system, and gives you a report.

The "history" looks in an XML file which I believe to be less
acurate, particularly if you have ever uninstalled, or used
system restore to backout (even inadvertantly) a fix.

Basically Windowsupdate is full of holes like this, and if ever
MS wants to get serious about this stuff it will have to improve.
