Discontinue the startup announcement "Power Point has loaded"

How do I discontinue the announcement "Power Point has Loaded" that occurs
when I startup my computer?

Does PowerPoint start every time you start your computer? You can try this:

1. Right-click the START button at the bottom left.
2. Click "Explore"
3. Click the "+" sign next to "Programs"
4. Click on the "Startup" folder.
5. If a shortcut to PowerPoint appears in the window to the right, delete
it.
6. Close Windows Explorer out and re-start your computer and see if that
fixes it.

I did find a short cut and removed it; however, the I still get the startup
announcement.

Power Point does load every time I start the computer

Regarding question in another reply about what I am running: Windows XP;
Office Professional 20000 (updated regularly).

Would it be best to delete the PP and start over?

Power Point does load every time I start the computer

Is it loading because you've deliberately done something to make that happen or
has it taken on a life of its own? In other words, do you want it to load at
startup or no?

Does it give this "PowerPoint has loaded" message every time PPT starts? That
is, can you quit PPT, restart it and get the message again?
