disconnected from RDC, cannot log in unless someone unlocks RDC

I am able to make the the VPN connection but after a while 1 hr or 2, I keep
getting disconnected from the remote computer, then I cannot log back in
unless someone unlocks the computer. I then get the error message:

"The client could not connect to the remote computer.

Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to
accept new connections. It is also possible that network problems are
preventing your connection."

Is there a timeout feature that can be changed to prevent the remote
computer from kicking me out?
