disc cleanup on Dell Laptop with Windows XP

The disc cleanup tool locks up every time I try to use
it. I get four blue squares on the line that shows how
much is left then it just sits. Does anyone have any
ideas, thanks,

Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
