disc check

help! complete novice.
have played with it and now get 20 minutes of disc check
everytime i turn on. how do i turn off disc check
 
Are you shutting down properly?
Clicking Start, then Turn off Computer?
If you just shut down with the power switch, you will automatically start
Disk check the next time you Boot.
