Disappointed Member: How to extract the song from a PPS file?

U

URBAN

Hello "Microsoft Public Powerpoint" Friend,
I do have Microsoft Office XP. When someone sends me a pps file (with
one song and ten pictures, say) , I open that file in Microsoft
Powerpoint . I have no problem in extracting one single picture out
of ten , so that is OK. To extract the song from it ( Which Is My
Problem ), Lucy Thomson suggested that I should click "Save as Web
Page..." . But "Save as Web Page..." takes me to a window called "
Save as", with 3 clicking possibilities: either "Save a copy and
costumise its contents" having a "Publish " click , or "Change title"
click, or "Save" click (corresponding to File name and Save as type-
Web Page). Which one do I click? And what do I do next? Please be
explicit, you are addressing an uninitiated. Thank you.
Regards,
Urban

Urban,
Open the pps file, using File - open. Go to File - choose save as - at the
bottom of the dialog click the listarrow next to save as and choose Web page
(*.htm, *.html). PowerPoint will create a folder with the name of your
presentation, in there you will find the music file as one of the many files
in your presentation. It will allmost certainly have the extension *.wav.
