disappears during startup

I've installed the anti-spyware program both here at work
and at home. On my home computer, it works fine. Here at
work, though, it will only start up as far as the little
spash-screen window that says it's starting, and then it
simply disappears. I've reinstalled it a couple time to no
effect. Both computers are Dell Dimension 2400, so I don't
think it's a compatibility issue.

It is in the directory the program is installed in.

For many, this will be c:\windows\program files\microsoft antispyware, or
c:\winnt\program files\microsoft antispyware.

The name is errors.log.
