Disappearing start-up tray icons

M

Mark

I have installed two different scanners (an older HP
4200c and a brand new
Canon LiDE30). Each time after installation they
corrupt my start up icons in the lower right system
tray. If I unplug either of the two scanners (obviously
not
installed at the same time) the start-up tray icons
restore normally
after a reboot. I've checked into the MSconfig settings
and there are no options to set boot order in a priority
method to start the scanner last, for example. It seems
that the scanner (either one) starts
and interrupts the load-display of the existing start up
tray icons. FYI, I have the current software downloads
and drivers for each scanner. I bought the Canon today
for testing purposes, and hoped it would fix the issue...
nope!

Help... this is very frustrating! Please email as I may
not
be able to stay on this message-board much longer.

Thanks in advance!

Mark
