disappearing interactive buttons

I have created interactive buttons for the left side of my website, to appear
on all pages. When I publish the files, it all looks fine. However, when
online if I move my cursor over the buttons, they disappear and become a
funny-colored box with the "broken image" icons in the top left corner.

What's going on and how can I fix it?

Are the Interactive Buttons in an included file or shared border? If
so, unless the Included file is in the same folder as all the pages it
is included in (or all the pages are in the _borders folder), what you
are seeing is normal.

If you are not using an include file or shared border, then a link to a
page with the problem will help.
