Disappearing inbox messages

When I open Outlook and recieve an email in my inbox it shows up for a few
seconds and then disappears. I have looked in every folder and can't find
messages anywhere. What's happening?

Look at your filters and rules to see if they are being sent somewhere or
deleted.
