DISAPPEARING HYPERLINK

I am running a PPT presentation in kiosk mode. I provide
an arrow image in the bottom right of the slide that
hyperlinks to the "next slide" and for action has
checked "highlight when mouse over."

This works well except on one slide - when the cursor is
over the arrow image, it highlights and disappears. Moving
the mouse off/on the image lets me see the highlight.

I have made sure the image is ordered to the front and
everything else is sent to the back. I have deleted it and
replaced it with copies from slides where it works. The
problem persists.

Any ideas?

You don't have any other objects animating on that slide, do you? I wonder
if one is coming in to cover the arrow.

Nah, that would be very weird. If you want to email me two or three slides
(including the misbehaving one) from this presentation, I can take a look at
it and see if I can come up with anything.
