Disappearing Forms

This is extremely frustrating, extremely. At random, I'll be working
on my project, save everything properly, then close down VS .NET 2003.
Next time (actually not all the time) I open it up, at random, one or
more forms show up as just vb files and I can't see the form visually,
which means I have to redo the whole thing, how frustrating and time
wasting that really is. If I check in Windows Explorer under the
project's directory all resx files are present. So why is this
happening and is there any hope that in the future I can recover these
forms or stop this from happening altogether?
